Teachers
Born in Ukraine, Anna Antropova graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Michael Glinka Music College in Dnipro, Ukraine and Master’s degree in Viola performance from Glinka State Conservatory of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. She started her professional career with the National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Nizhny Novgorod and later with the Ukrainian National Philharmonic Orchestra, touring throughout Ukraine, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Poland, France, Canada and USA. Ms. Antropova has performed as a soloist across Canada and the USA and works with numerous orchestras and chamber ensembles throughout Ontario, including the Toronto Philharmonic, the Toronto Concert Orchestra, Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, Niagara Symphony, Sinfonia Toronto, Ontario Philharmonic Orchestra, Sioux City Symphony Orchestra in Iowa and Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra.
With over 30 years of international experience as a music educator for viola and violin, Ms. Antropova is a devoted teacher whose students have performed and competed in music festivals and competitions across Canada and USA, and have continued on to pursue their degrees at major universities in North America. Ms. Antropova is the Artistic Director of the Chamber Music Gallery, a music society featuring concerts in Canada and USA.
Yaroslav Tereshchenko, a native of Ukraine, studied violin performance and music education at the M. Glinka Music College in Dnipro, Ukraine and later at Lviv State Music Institute in Lviv, Ukraine. In the United States, Yaroslav earned a Masters of Music degree from Lionel Hampton School of Music, University of Idaho. While Yaroslav was a student in Ukraine, he won one international and two national competitions. During his performance career, Yaroslav has played violin with orchestras appearing in various venues throughout Ukraine, Germany, France, Belgium, Hungary and the United States.
As a violinist, Yaroslav has performed with many orchestras, including the Utica Symphony in Utica, NY, Yakima Symphony and Spokane Symphony, both in Washington state. In Connecticut, he has performed with the Bridgeport Symphony, Waterbury Symphony, Wallingford Symphony and Ridgefield Symphony Orchestras. He is the former Concertmaster of the Nutmeg Symphony Orchestra in Bristol, Connecticut. Before moving to Florida, Yaroslav was holding a position of an artist-faculty at the Omaha Conservatory of Music in Omaha, Nebraska, and has taught at Lewis-Clark State College, Lewiston, Idaho; the University of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho; the University of Connecticut Community School of the Arts, Storrs, Connecticut; and at Three Rivers Community College, Norwich, Connecticut. During his tenure at Three Rivers Community College, Yaroslav taught Music History and Music Appreciation for eight years. Currently Yaroslav serves as a Music Director for the strings at Mason Classical Academy in Naples, Florida, and performs with Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra.
